When I reflect on her, I think of the Moon.
So alive and filled with magic,
never too bright, or too dim,
she hangs in my night's sky like a beacon,
showing me the truth of myself,
To gaze upon her is to dream endlessly of her touch,
yet remain a million stars apart.
She is neither here, nor there,
flitting effortlessly across my heart,

Comfort in the Past
I promised myself I'd never go back to the sun-dappled clearing in the woods, just east of Larringdale. Yet, here I was, walking towards it as if nothing had ever happened. I wasn't nervous because the forest surrounding it was dangerous, or forbidden; it was just that my heart wasn’t ready to remember her. Being near it tore at my insides, reminding me of a past so painful and raw that it hurt to think about. But I couldn't run from it any longer than I could the passing of time. It was a part of who I was, a law of sorts, and I needed to accept it. That was why I'd come back here. To remember,
"Sam, I don't have long to talk, they're restricting our communications. It's this stupid war *crackles* we might get attacked soon, can you believe that? Ariadne was a special type of girl, the sort that wasn’t content with just living in the norm. You see, deep within her heart, she was an adventurer. With every beat, it begged her to go out and explore, to see what was out there beyond the window of her room. I suppose it was fate really, that she stumbled upon the tiny, out of the way antique shop, whilst walking home with her mother, one warm summer's after
Even in death, Jack loved her, searching Limbo for any sign of his soul mate, forever chasing what no longer existed. Day after day, he climbed mountains and navigated insidious traps, placed there by others lost to the mist. Despite never finding her, Jack refused to give up his search, spurred on by that primal urge to finally find a glimpse of happiness in a world full of nothing.
Then, one day, he stumbled across a serene clearing, motes of golden light cascading down from above. It was peaceful; devoid of the turmoil he'd been used to...it didn't belong. Yet he felt something as the light touched his skin, a warmth s
